It had been noticed over the months that we had no rakes in the bunkers, that there were a lot of footprints, especially in the ‘Captain’s Bunker’, but very little cash in the box! While we understand that members were loathe to go into the clubhouse while it was closed, there is no excuse now.
This was particularly noticed at our recent committee meeting, where our treasurer, now known as the ‘one-armed bandit’, opened the box after a full month to discover the princely amount of 50p! Whoever you are, thank you, but I am sure you are far from the only person that found the sand in that time.
And just to reassure people, this is the Captain’s CHARITY Bunker, all monies received go to the club’s chosen charity, not into my back pocket!
I look forward to finding rather more cash in there next month, feel free to make up for those times you, ahem, ‘forgot’!
P.S. For those that are regular visitors to that devilishly placed bunker, I would happily offer a discount. Pay £5 upfront for a year’s worth of sandy fun!

Bargain. 👍
