For those of you that were wondering what happened to the Daily Mail foursomes (and I know you all were)… much like the Euros and the Olympics, the 2020 competition is continuing this year. Although halted midway through round two last year, play resumed in April. Well, for some clubs it did. However, for Graham and Nigel it has been serene progress , as Crane Valley apparently were a little too bashful to actually meet the mighty Somerley pair.
Round three brought the excitement to a new level. Would they get a glamour tie at Remedy Oak or Ferndown? Nope… it was a bye into round 4! Three weeks later and the draw has been made again. This time the opposition is…. Wareham Golf Club. It’s a home draw, so let’s wish the boys well and hope that they actually get to play some golf!
